Start an Endowment Fund in Four Simple Steps
Creating a long-term charitable legacy with the Adams County Community Foundation is easier than you think. Here’s how:
Contact Us
Start by giving us a call to discuss your charitable or estate-planning goals. We’ll work closely with you—and your financial advisor if you wish—to design a personalized giving plan that supports your passions, benefits your community, and offers meaningful tax advantages.
Choose the Type and Purpose of Your Fund
Select from a variety of fund options based on your charitable interests. You may choose to:
- Support a specific nonprofit organization, school, or church
- Focus on a broader area such as education, health, or the arts
- Allow the Foundation to direct your fund where community needs are greatest
Decide When and How Much to Give
You can start your fund with a direct gift today, a planned legacy gift in your will or estate plan, or a combination of both. The timing and amount are entirely up to you.
Name Your Fund
Many donors choose to name their fund after themselves, their family, or in memory of a loved one. Prefer to stay anonymous? We can help you select a name that reflects your charitable purpose while keeping your identity confidential.
Once you sign the fund agreement, we’ll take care of the rest—managing your investment and honoring your intentions, now and for generations to come.
