If so, you can make tax-free gifts directly from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) through a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD). Your gift to the Adams County Community Foundation will never count as income but will always make a difference.
INCREASE YOUR IMPACT WITH THE IRA CHARITABLE DISTRIBUTION
Giving from your IRA is a tax-smart way to ensure the Adams County Community Foundation continues to grow and improve the quality of life for all of Adams County.
A donor makes a qualified distribution if:
- He or she is at least 70 & 1/2 years old at the time the distribution is made.
- The distribution is made from a Traditional IRA.
- The distribution is made to a qualified charitable organization.
- The distribution must be distributed directly by the IRA custodian.
What is the IRA QCD?
The IRA QCD allows donors to make “qualified charitable distributions” directly from a
retirement plan. Gifts up to $100,000 are excluded from federal income.
You can give to an existing fund or create a charitable fund in your name, the name of
your family, or in honor of any person or organization you choose. We’ll handle all of
the administrative details. Give a gift that will last forever!
Make your gift to the Adams County Community Foundation today.
