Adams County Community Foundation Supports the Medical Foundation and Drug Free Clubs of America Program in Local Schools

The Adams County Community Foundation has awarded a grant to the Adams County Medical Foundation to support Drug Free Clubs of America (DFCA) programs in local schools throughout Adams County.

Drug Free Clubs of America is a voluntary, school-based prevention program designed to encourage students to remain drug-free through positive reinforcement, peer support, confidential drug testing, and incentives that reward healthy choices. Founded in 2005 by first responders and firefighters, the program provides students with practical tools and support to resist peer pressure and make positive decisions.

The Adams County Medical Foundation has partnered with local schools to help implement and support the DFCA program as part of its ongoing commitment to improving the health and well-being of Adams County youth.

“The Adams County Community Foundation is pleased to support programs that invest in the future of our young people,” said Linda Stepp, president of the Adams County Community Foundation. “Drug Free Clubs of America provides students with encouragement, accountability, and positive reinforcement to make healthy choices that can impact their lives for years to come.” Details of Drug Free Clubs Program are available at website “drugfreeclubs.com”.

This grant was made possible through the generosity of donors supporting the Adams County Community Foundation and its mission to improve the quality of life in Adams County through grants, scholarships, and community partnerships.
